What is the Scary Meter?
The Scary Meter is a scale we use to measure well, how scary a game is! It takes the average of user scores and votes for a particular game. The algorithm is not completely finished yet so the way we score games with the Scary Meter may change at some point in the future.
I changed my mind about my Scary-Meter vote, and wish to reset it, how do I do this?
Unfortunately, currently you are not able to reset your rating. But if you could send us am email with your IP address, that will allow us to find your rating and reset this for you. In the near future we will provide a reset button as a core feature of the site itself.
How can I edit my review?
As with the answer above, you currently cannot edit your reviews. However, E-mail us with your username, and the name of the game you reviewed, and we'll take care of the rest.
How can I add a horror game?
We would like to keep our list as accurate as possible, and as such we do not have a way for users to add games themselves. If you know of a title that you do not see here that belongs on the site, E-mail us a request, if it meets the criteria we will add it within approximately twenty-four hours.
How do I make an account to comment?
The comment system is provided by the popular platform Disqus. In order to comment on our website with an avatar (You are able to comment with only a nickname) you will be required to create an account on their website.
How can I become a writer?
We welcome new writers with open arms. If you feel like you want to contribute to the site yourself, visit our Become a Writer page and see if you agree to the terms. If you, then contact us.
Where is the forum?
We do not currently have a forum, but we do have plans in place for the future to include that as well as a site login system, so be patient, and you'll be sure to see it at a point in the future.
