This review was made while the game was still in its first days of Early Access so, take everything with a grain of salt and make sure to check on its progress.

The main Story Mode hasn't released, but you can still experience some of it on Survival Mode. You wake up in the SCP facility and a voice tells you that if you play your cards right, both of you will be able to survive. But something has gone wrong, the monsters that used to be contained have escaped and killed most of the staff.

Visuals and performance

The game looks ok for its infant development stage, some textures are a bit blurry but that's nothing that can't be fixed with a patch. The game can at times be laggy and stutter but I'm sure that this will be fixed in no time.

Equipped with your trusty torch, you must navigate through the map and seek clearance cards in order to find out more about what happened and how you can escape the facility. But you're not alone, monsters lurk everywhere and you're the only thing left to kill.

Final Thoughts

SCP: Blackout was a very interesting game, it's rough around the edges but it's still in early access. I'm sure that when the full release eventually comes SCP: Blackout will be a fun survival game with tons of monsters that'll keep you on your toes for its whole campaign.
I can't wait to see how the game will evolve and I'll be sure to update this review once the early access development phase is over.
